Christmas is my favorite time of year to visit London. Central London is particularly festive with beautiful street decorations and truly wondrous window displays. During this trip several friends were also visiting, giving us the perfect opportunity to go store window gazing and hotel bar hopping.
The Connaught bar's interior design is reminiscent of an Edwardian drawing room with deep cozy velvet upholstered high-back armchairs and a fireplace. It couldn't be cozier...
The Williams Bar, St James Club - Casino Royale made from vanilla infused vodka pomegranate juice, chambord liqueur and champagne is this bar's signature drink
The GNH Bar interior design is art deco meets cut-glass belle époque - in the Great Northern Hotel is located at St Pancras Stn. The Victorian Rouge cocktail made with fresh juicy raspberries crushed to a puree, shaken with Amaretto and Chambord and topped with ginger beer is one of several signature cocktails. Normally, I'm not a fan of convoluted mixed drinks but this one was a winner.
The Connaught Bar at the Connaught Hotel is famous for its signature martini made with the crispy dry gancia vermouth available exclusively here.
