When exploring the fashion looks of each season I always find it helpful knowing what's new or trending. No need for an entirely new wardrobe of course, but perking up what you already own with an on-trend piece or two keeps your look current with minimum effort.

One of the more interesting new trends this Fall is the embellished heel. Dolce & Gabbana, Christian Louboutin, Dries Van Noten, Miu Miu & Valentino to name just a few, have incorporated intricate floral patterns, elaborate embroidery and jewel encrusted designs focusing on the heel. The rather dazzling details are the perfect complement for my all-black wardrobe, though I suspect most shoe repairers will not be as thrilled.
