Everywhere I look I'm seeing pajamas as daywear. New York Times T Magazine and a recent Habituallychic post both caught my eye, not just because of the dreamy ensembles, but also the exquisite setting they were placed in.
Francesca Ruffini, the founder of FRS For Restless Sleepers shows off her collection of luxe pajamas for Spring 2016 at her Lake Como home, which she shares with her husband, Remo Ruffini, Moncler CEO, as backdrop. The classically inspired house was designed by the French design duo Gilles & Boissier.
Separating the top and bottom makes this look somewhat easier to pull-off in more urban settings, as demonstrated in the Net-a-porter images below. Made of Italian silk and cotton/silk blend in Como, the FRS pajamas are available at mytheresa.com and Net-a-porter. I believe this could be a viable alternative to the kaftan!
