In this Fall's fashion issue of Departures magazine is a beautiful and mostly wearable editorial about layering for Fall. This is one area where I could certainly use some help as my tendency is to layer in the same way over and over again.
Looking through these photos inspired me to finally investigate what's new for Fall and also opened my mind to the myriad options of layering.
Excellent photography by Ruven Afandor, superb styling by Kareem Rashed & model Michaela Kocianova rocks each look
In this photo Michaela wears 6 layers which is not feasible in real life but I see where 4 layers would look equally on point: Tom Ford's leather trench, Versace's blazer & pants and Burberry's silk blouse would effect the same look minus the bulk!
Another world of layers, I'd keep the Brunelli Cucinelli stole, the Dries Van Noten overcoat & T-shirt, Akris silk turtleneck and Hermès Pants
This outfit is good to go and I'm just loving Louis Vutiton's wool pants and vest...the white Manolo Blahnik boots although fabulous I could never be persuaded to wear
Classic cashmere coat and matching pants from Alexander McQueen, reimagined with their signature asymmetric hem
Chanel's lambskin leather wide legged cropped pants - yesss!
Michaela no doubt sports the Gucci wool and silk jacket around her shoulders because the Oscar de la Renta wool sweater is so bulky, but a single-ply cashmere sweater would fit perfectly under the jacket
