While spending the weekend with dear friends of ours in their brand new not-yet decorated home in Sag Harbor we decided to take a mini excursion to neighboring Southampton to see what home decor finds we might discover for the house. I haven't been to Southampton I guess in quite a while, because on this trip I came across several home decor shops which were not there last time I looked.
What we found was a wildly eclectic mix of home furnishings and accessories options, making it a relatively easy task to find everything we needed and things we hadn't even thought about right there on Main Street. One King's Lane had the inspiration to open its first pop up store in the historic Rogers Memorial Library. We could barely get through the door for the crush of people trying to get inside. Although I've been buying off the website since the beginning it was nice to finally get up close and personal with their goods before committing to buy.
Right across the street is Home Nature. With an earthy, organic vibe it's currently my favorite home decor store. It's the kind of shopping experience that makes me want to redecorate my home from scratch whenever I drop by. It's a highly curated space that's all about neutral creamy woven linen, cotton, leather, chunky knit throws, natural wood furnishings and vintage furniture pieces mixed in.
Then it was onto L'objet for accessories. I wrote a post about their West Village shop earlier this year - read here. Their sensibility has a vibe of a wanderlust world traveler who picks up one-of-a-kind items from all ports of call. You'd be hard pressed to find a more comprehensive selection of accessories than what's on offer here.
We managed to find fantastic things in every store and will definitely be back for more.
