I’ve been following the internationally renowned stylist and editor Carlos Mota on Instagram for sometime now and am always intrigued by his photographic point of view. Mota, whether touring Morocco, India, Santo Domingo, Paris or London totally captures his locations drawing you in with his off-beat, gifted editor’s eye.
So, I was thrilled to come across his new book Beige is Not a Color, showcasing interiors that luxuriate in dazzling color palettes and classic design. Besides the beautifully appointed interiors Mota shares favorite textiles, tiles, floral arrangements, table settings, sculpture and architecture. As with his instagram, the book is free of over abundant text, as the photos so clearly speak for themselves; the essence of living beyond beige and embracing color in your world!
Lately I’ve found myself particularly drawn to interiors decorated with layers of color and pattern, so the vivid hues and gorgeous artistry on every page are really speaking to me. Beige is Not a Color has the perfect vibe as my favorite interior design coffee table book this winter season.
