For all you francophiles there’s a trés chic new boutique hotel that’s just opened in the “City of Light.” J.K. Place Rive Gauche Hotel is located at 82 Rue de Lille, in the elegant Saint-Gerrmain-des-Prés neighborhood in a building that was formerly an embassy. The jewel-box boutique hotel has 29 rooms and suites with bespoke interiors created by Michele Bönan, a Florentine designer and architect. Michele excels at designing spaces layered with flourishes of classical references and rich colorful textures that are all at once sumptuous, lush, yet invitingly intimate.
Michele collaborating with JK Place Founder Ori Kafri are renowned for their residential boutique experience at the JK Place hotels in Capri, Florence and Rome and “unparalled focus on the guest experience.” Now the duo has expanded to Paris because as Ori Kafri enthuses “It’s the number one tourist destination, your first stop when you come to Europe. It’s prestigious, chic, elegant, with fashion art and luxury. It’s sort of everything.”
Well, I know where I’ll be staying on my next trip…
