Well, here we are at the beginning of May. When I wrote my last blog post we were living in the unfathomable depths of the Covid-19 quarantine with no idea when it would end. We’re now seven weeks in and some states are ending their lockdown, partially reopening this week; it remains to be seen whether they’re making the right call.
Nonetheless, many of us have spent the last several weeks in a rotation of sweatshirts, hoodies, leggings and loungewear. Sooner or later we will resume public life, and what will we be wearing through the summer? In my mind, after being cocooned for comfort and convenience not style for so long, we’ll continue to want to be comfortable and in no way feel constricted by our clothing.
Distracting myself with my favorite online clothing site matchesfashion.com I found a theme developing choosing the elegant simplicity of long, loose, unstructured dresses, pants and tops. Turns out the looks I loved the most were by Three Graces London - a timely little discovery.
Catherine Johnson is the designer and founder of Three Graces London. Her collection has a relaxed elegant vibe and everything’s versatile enough for day, evening and the weekend. ”Materials such as handmade lace, silk, linen and cotton are sourced from the finest European ateliers and artisanal mills.”
Personally, I can’t wait to be out of loungewear/sweatshirt/leggings mode. However, I also yearn to be effortlessly summer chic and this collection ticks all my boxes. Plus, it’s all currently on sale!
