I’ve always wanted to visit Lake Como and discovered that one of my vendors. Promemoria, a bespoke furniture company with a New York showroom has their workrooms in the picturesque town of Lecco. They invited us to visit...so, we took the TGV high-speed train from Paris thru the picture perfect Swiss Alps and arrived in Lecco 9 hours later.
For two days both the GM, Riccardo Soso and the charismatic founder & designer, Romeo Sozzi took us on a tour of their facility, where skilled craftsmen and artisans who have worked at Promemoria, a family owned business for generations make bespoke furniture for a highly discerning clientele. Every piece of furniture is made to meet the specifications of each individual client. They also gave a presentation of Promemoria’s most recent collections.

Our tour concluded with lunch prepared by the in-house chef in their specatacular state-of-the-art kitchen. We were introduced to several family members all of whom are involved in the firm and joined us for lunch. Meeting the family and being shown their generous hospitality completely personalized our experience.
